Youth Advocacy Group

Sixteen young people from around the world were selected from hundreds of young people to serve on the Youth Advocacy Group (YAG) to support the  UN Secretary-General’s Education First Initiative.

The YAG moves forward GEFI’s three main priorities – putting every child in school, improving the quality of learning, fostering global citizenship – amongst their networks and partners.  The Office of the UN Special Envoy for Global Education collaborates with this group of young people to ensure the voice of youth is front and center in the policy discussions and advocacy on global education.
